The focal point of the spa will be the Relaxarium, a speciality thermal suite with chakra massage rooms, aromatic steam baths, Byzantine mud cleansing baths, ceramic loungers and experience hydroshowers.

Your therapist welcomes you into a chakra treatment room filled with Ayurvedic scents, prepares a herbal tea to speed up the metabolism, assesses your constitution and prepares an appropriate oil mixture for the massage. Oils are organic and distilled from local sources, where possible. You take a shower, towel dry, then lie on the treatment table. Your therapist gives you a quick soft dry brush massage, followed by a warm soap foam scrub, hand shower and dry. The warm oil massage follows, concentrating for 30 minutes on the chakra centres. You rest with the oil on the skin, covered with a foil and a blanket for 10 minutes. Your therapist then accompanies you to the hydroshower, where you remove the oils and perspiration, before relaxing for a minimum of 20 minutes in the heated ceramic lounger.

With six body jets as well as an overhead shower, hydroshowers offer a choice of experiences. After heat treatments, it can release cold fog in combination with a mint scent and a blue fibre optic light to enhance the feeling of coolness. Alternatively, you can choose a tropical rain shower with an invigorating Maracuja scent.

These are just some of the examples of the wide range of speciality treatments that will be available.

In addition to the treatment areas, the spa includes a post-treatment rest and relaxation area, with soft seating, recliners, relaxing scents and sounds, where you can enjoy a complementary juice or herb tea.

Pools

The pool area is open to the whole family and will incorporate both indoor and outdoor pools, with facilities for the recreational user and the fitness enthusiast.

The indoor heated pool can be used for exercise lane swimming, water aerobic classes or simple recreation. Lit with reflected natural light, the luxurious indoor pool area includes showers, changing and grooming facilities, space for poolside relaxation and a link to the outdoor leisure pool.

The large sculpted outdoor pool incorporates whirlpools, lounger seating for sunbathing and areas of privacy. A poolside bar is on hand to provide welcome refreshment.

Fitness suite

Staffed by trained professionals, the fitness suite will offer a range of services and programs aimed at enhancing physical performance in the areas of muscle strength and tone, flexibility, stamina and overall conditioning.

The fitness suite includes:

The gymnasium will incorporate the latest in cardiovascular and resistance training equipment coupled with high quality sound and video systems. It is zoned into a number of functional areas, including cardiovascular, resistance training, circuits, warm up/warm down. Services offered include personal training, fitness assessments, program scheduling and special needs.

The dance studio will host a wide range of dance and aerobics classes to suit differing abilities and objectives. Other speciality classes such as Pilates and Spinning will also be offered here. The dance studio has a high quality sprung floor and opens onto an outdoor patio exercise area.

Wellness centre

The American Medical Association

The Wellness Centre offers a range of specialist services such as physiotherapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, reiki, homeopathy, nutrition and other complementary practices. The Wellness Centre will be the base for a general medical practitioner, who will be available for consultations on particular days.

The reception area houses a wellness lending library and a small dispensary. In addition to the consultation rooms, there are a small number of larger rooms for workshops and seminars. The largest of these, the dojo, set within its own tranquil walled garden, will be used for yoga, meditation, tai chi and martial arts.

Racquets club

The racquets club is part of the first phase of development and will include the following facilities:

· Four tennis courts including at least two synthetic grass tennis courts

· Practice wall

· Paddle tennis court

· Pavilion with bar and lounge area, WC and changing facilities

· Games room with American pool tables

Restaurant

The Spa’s approach to food will favour fresh, natural and organic ingredients with the emphasis on balance and variety. The restaurant and bar will have a light informal atmosphere but with rigorously upheld international standards of quality and service.

The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, combining both à la carte and more snack/buffet type offers. The bar will provide an important social focus and will service the restaurant and other indoor and outdoor public areas.

AlmaVerde club

Those purchasing property at AlmaVerde automatically become resident members of the exclusive Alma Verde Club. Each resident membership entitles two nominated adults and up to three children to free use of the amenities, including the swimming pools, exercise studio, racquets club and spa, subject only to age restrictions on use of the spa itself.

Club amenities are intended primarily for the enjoyment of residents and visitors staying at Alma Verde. A limited number of club memberships will be offered on a higher fee basis to residents in the surrounding area, and a limited number of day visitors may be admitted on “day spa” packages.
