At AlmaVerde, the Elixir Group is creating a new village and range of
amenities that will serve both as a residential community and as a vacation
destination. AlmaVerde is set among mature oak, pine and carob trees
on the site of a rustic farm, surrounded by fig and olive groves. To
the North, the site overlooks the traditional village of Barão
de São Miguel. The picturesque fishing village of Burgau, with
its sandy, sheltered beach, is just a few minutes’ drive away.
AlmaVerde is planned as a low density community, with only ten percent
of the total area designated for building. Fully one third of the thirty
six hectare site is given over to streets and paths, recreational areas,
public gardens and parkland.
The remaining area comprises plots for one hundred and thirty villas, twenty eight townhouses and two groups of apartments.
Most buildings
are single storey with the occasional two storey building adding variety
and interest. Villa plots range in size from five hundred to over seven
thousand square metres. Due to their elevated position, many of the
plots have panoramic views of the surrounding countryside
Our team has taken a fresh approach to design, drawing from local traditions,
and adding modern flair and attention to detail. Villas feature dramatic
double-height interior spaces, galleries and roof terraces. A typical
layout includes a spacious open plan living area, three bedrooms, three
bathrooms, and a fourth room that can be used as a family room, study
or bedroom. Landscaped outdoor spaces include terracotta-tiled terraces
and a freeform pool or whirlpool. You can personalise the villa design
of your choice by selecting from the fittings and finishes packages
available.
