A further stairway leads down to the basement utility area and garage.

The large, optionally heated pool, with its automatic pool cover, is set within mature, landscaped gardens to the sunny south-west of the villa. Patio doors from the living room open onto a covered sitting area (alpendre) with views to the pool. Further south-west facing patio doors lead from the double bedroom, living room and kitchen to the pool area. Patio doors from the pavilion also open onto this area.

The poolside terrace is protected in the summer by a shade sail, and so is ideal for al fresco dining, being furnished with a large outdoor table and chairs. To the north of the villa are a series of stepped terraces with natural stone walls, leading down to a gate in the rear wall and out into the unspoilt countryside.

The ground floor villa accommodation comprising living, dining, kitchen areas, twin bedroom, study, double bedroom and bathroom, are all fully accessible for wheelchair access. The paved pool terrace area is on the same level. The ground floor of the Pavilion is accessed via a flight of five steps. The upper levels of the villa and pavilion are both only accessible via timber stairways from the ground level. The utility and garage areas are only accessible from the inside of the villa via a staircase. The lower level terraces to the rear (north side) are only accessible via stone steps.
